Women's Sports Underwear
Women's sports underwear covers bras, tops, panties and base layers where what matters is freedom of movement, support matched to the activity, and a fit that doesn't rub. This category gathers sports bras and tops, seamless panties, anti-chafing thigh shorts, sports leggings and tanks from Gatta, Gabriella, Julimex, Key, Mitex, Ysabel Mora and other European brands.
What sports underwear includes
In the narrow sense, sports underwear means a bra and panties. This category is broader, because a full kit for training takes more than that. The core is a sports bra that controls breast movement. Then seamless panties, which make panty lines less visible under leggings and don't dig in when you bend. Separately there are longer shorts that protect the inner thighs, leggings and capris, plus the tanks and tees you train in.
And then there are the small things you only notice when they're missing. Ysabel Mora yoga and Pilates socks, for instance, with silicone grips on the sole so your foot doesn't slide on the mat.
Sports bras and tops
This is the centrepiece of the kit, and not all of them work the same way. Compression styles reduce movement by pressing the bust closer to the body with elastic fabric. Encapsulation bras support each breast in its own cup. Hybrid designs combine both. So when choosing, the stated support level and the fit of the specific model matter more than individual details like strap width.
What this category holds is mostly soft seamless styles: Gabriella and Gatta tops for yoga, Pilates and low-impact sessions, Gatta Solaris and Fitness racerbacks with double straps for more active movement, and options with removable cups when you want shape without extra bulk. For a fuller bust there are also soft wire-free bras by Gorsenia and Ava with wide straps, though what each one supports depends on the specific model. More everyday options live in the bras and tops sections.
Which sports bra suits which workout?
Go by intensity and by your own bust size. Yoga, Pilates and stretching are often fine with light support, though a fuller bust may be more comfortable in a firmer style even for calm sessions. For strength training, the level you need depends on the exercises and, again, on bust size. For running, jumping and cardio, look for models with a high stated support level where the brand specifies one.
Panties and shorts for training
Under leggings, seamless styles are the pick for reducing visible panty lines. Here that means thongs, briefs, bikini and Brazilian cuts from Gatta, Julimex, Key and Gabriella with laser-cut edges instead of stitched ones. A wider choice sits in the seamless panties section.
The second group matters more than it looks.
These are anti-chafing thigh shorts by Ysabel Mora, Julimex and Sloggi. When the inner thighs touch during a run, a long walk or an extended session, sweat can make the irritation worse. A longer leg in smooth fabric puts a barrier between them and cuts down the rubbing.
Fabrics and seams: what to look at
In sports underwear the material decides more than the trim does.
- Moisture management. For intense sessions, look for quick-dry or moisture-wicking fabric in the specs; synthetic performance knits generally handle sweat better.
- Cotton and bamboo viscose. Comfortable for calm sessions, though for active training it's worth checking what the brand states about that particular fabric's moisture and drying behaviour.
- Seams. Flat, laser-cut or fully seamless construction, since a standard stitched seam can chafe under load.
- Fit. Wide bands and waistbands spread the pressure evenly and dig in less when the size is right.
For winter runs and outdoor training there's a separate range of women's thermal underwear that holds warmth under outer layers.
Sizing
For bras and tops, go by your underbust and bust measurements; for panties and shorts, by your hips. The brand's own chart opens from the "check your size" button on the product page, and that's the one to trust: Gatta, Gabriella and Key grids differ from each other. For shorts, take your size from the chart — the leg should sit against the thigh without pinching and stay put as you move.
How do you check a sports bra actually fits?
Not just in front of the mirror. Put it on, take a deep breath, raise your arms and do a few jumps on the spot. The band should sit firmly but leave room for about two fingers, shouldn't ride up when your arms go overhead, and shouldn't need adjusting after every movement. If the bust spills over the edge of the cup or fabric, the size or the model isn't right for you.
How buying works
We ship from our European warehouse to most of the world, and every parcel gets a tracking number. FedEx courier delivery is available, with transit of 5 to 15 days depending on the country and method. Everything in the store is authentic, sourced from manufacturers and official distributors. The progressive discount depends on your cart total and reaches 15%.
Can sports underwear be returned or exchanged?
It depends on the item. Next-to-skin underwear is excluded from return and exchange for hygiene reasons, which is standard practice for lingerie retailers, while tanks, leggings and other activewear follow our standard return terms. Manufacturing defects and wrongly shipped items are returnable either way. Full terms are on the exchange and return page.
