Women's tank tops for every occasion
Remember when a tank top was strictly something you wore under everything else? That changed a long time ago. It has moved out from under dresses and blouses and become a piece of clothing in its own right — while still doing the original job perfectly well when you need it to.
Our range covers women's tank tops from Polish makers including Incanto, Eldar and Babell, alongside other established labels. Simple and more elaborate designs, all properly branded, all made in Polish factories. What they have in common: European build quality, considered design, accessible prices and good fabric. Mostly natural fibres — silky viscose, good cotton, soft bamboo — plus breathable microfibre, which is every bit as comfortable.
Sizes run from petite to genuinely generous, and every piece arrives in the manufacturer's own packaging. We ship worldwide from our warehouse in Poland.
The catalogue
Our catalogue covers every cut of women's tank top. What is always in stock:
Styles with a built-in shelf bra — either moulded cups without wires on fine straps, or a fully integrated push-up bra with underwires. These give real support and are the obvious choice if you would rather not wear a separate bra at all.
Sports tank tops in two constructions: loose, longline styles in stretch jersey with deep armholes, trimmed with mesh or wide straps; and short, close-fitting cotton styles with small or dropped armholes. Between them you will find something for running, the gym, yoga or anything else active — they move with you rather than against you. Pair them with joggers, shorts, cycling shorts or leggings, all of which are in our sportswear section.
Warm cotton tank tops on wide straps, in dense soft jersey with a brushed lining on both sides. These are for winter, and they pair with thermal shorts in the same fabric. More cold-weather pieces are in warm underwear.
Seamless styles on fine or wide straps, knitted without side seams. Short, extremely comfortable and closely fitted.
Sheer styles in mesh or fine tulle. If you want something bolder still, look at erotic lingerie.
Fitted camisole tank tops on fine straps. The classic mid-thigh length and smooth fabric mean you can wear one as a slip under a dress.
Tank tops from our lingerie collection — narrow and close-fitting or loose and semi-fitted, plain or trimmed at the neckline with lace, guipure or micromesh, some with a fully lace bodice, on wide or fine straps. Cut in a lingerie style, usually cotton, sometimes with a little elastane. They work at home as loungewear or nightwear, and pair with shorts for a sleep set. There is more nightwear in pyjamas and nightdresses. Many of these styles have matching briefs — you will see them under each product photograph.
Shaping tank tops with a compressive knit that flattens the stomach and refines the waistline. Related pieces are in shapewear.
Everyday cotton styles for a basic wardrobe — plain, or with guipure panels, a mesh tulle yoke, buttons, zips, lacing or bows. Some are sleeveless, some have dropped shoulders, and there are short, long and elbow-length sleeves. Necklines vary just as much: a small high neck or a deep round one, a V-neck, or a square neckline at the front or back, always cut to suit the rest of the design.
And beyond the ordinary, there are styles with decorative straps or a lace back. These look dressy enough for an evening.
Colours run from light to dark, plain and without prints — white, black, light grey, beige — and for anyone who wants something brighter, pink, blue, yellow and red.
You can also buy a gift card if you are shopping for someone else, along with women's T-shirts, bra tops and supportive maternity and nursing camisoles built for feeding.
How to wear them
The range of women's tank tops is wider than most people realise, and new variations appear constantly.
Halter-neck styles leave the shoulders bare and broaden the upper body visually, so they suit a pear-shaped figure.
The classic wide-strap tank without any print is as current as it has ever been, and works best with jeans and other cotton pieces.
The racerback is traditionally sportswear, but it has settled comfortably into almost every context short of formal.
A bodysuit has one clear advantage: it never rides up, and it stays flat. Indispensable when the top half needs to be tucked into trousers or a skirt.
Stretch styles fit closely, which shows the shape clearly. If you want something that skims rather than clings, a ribbed knit is the answer — it follows the body without gripping it. And for a deliberately loose line, oversized is the reliable option.
Short stretch styles work on their own, under a blazer or cardigan, as part of a trouser suit with a waistcoat, or under a denim pinafore or dungarees.
Anything with sequins, crystals, lurex or glitter is interesting enough on its own that it needs plain pieces around it. These are for a party or an evening out.
Tunics are long and loose, sometimes with side splits. They flatter almost everyone and layer well.
Rather than wearing a tank top over a bra, try a bustier instead. The built-in cups, with or without padding, support well enough that many women wear one in place of a bra entirely.
If you want the smoothest possible line, look at the corset styles. They flatten the front visually and help you hold your posture — the effect is immediate the moment you put one on under a dress.
For a retro look, choose an elasticated or flared style with ruffles, frills or flutter sleeves. These sit well with a long full skirt or a longer mini.
Nude lingerie-style tank tops go under a roll-neck, a dress or a blouse when you want to reduce transparency or make a bra less visible.
Silk, satin and chiffon styles come in two kinds: one belongs to a pyjama set, the other goes under a blazer or jacket. Both are often combined with fine lace, which suits those fabrics particularly well.
Sheer and semi-sheer styles are not really for the office. They belong to a different sort of evening.
Worn with a shirt, the trick is contrast: black with white, dark green with gold, turquoise with orange, blue with burgundy. Keep it to three shades at most.
Camouflage prints and blue-and-white breton stripes suit a lighter mood. For something more romantic, look for ties at the neck or waist, a raised waistline or a peplum, and floral or polka-dot prints — which never seem to go out of fashion.
Light sleeveless summer tank tops have earned their place through sheer usefulness. Fine cotton styles and openwork knits work equally well in spring and summer, in the city or on the beach, with shorts or cropped trousers.
A strapless tank top with bare shoulders or an open back goes with anything. The only consideration is what you wear underneath: a strapless bra or a silicone invisible bra.
The list could go on, but you have the idea. Take your time and enjoy it.
What they cost
Women's tank tops here are reasonably priced. The simplest cotton styles are the most affordable; pieces trimmed with fine lace or made from technical fabrics cost more. Whatever the price, watch for our sales — the only exclusion is new stock marked NEW. You can order around the clock, and we process orders on the next working day.
